1.1 Personal Information: We collect personal information you voluntarily provide when booking a tour, registering for a departure, or contacting us, including:

• Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
• Payment information
• Passport details and other travel documents
• Medical information, including the Disclosure and Health Declaration form and, where applicable under our Age & Health Requirements, a medical fitness certificate
• Insurance policy details
• Emergency contact details
• Driver's license and riding experience information
• Photographs and video footage taken during the tour, in accordance with Section 20 of our Terms & Conditions (Photo, Video & Media Release)

1.2 Sensitive Information: Passport details and medical information are treated by AMT as sensitive data requiring heightened protection. This information is collected strictly because it is necessary to safely operate motorcycle touring in the remote regions where we work — including verifying fitness to ride, arranging emergency medical evacuation, and meeting the entry and permit requirements of the countries visited — and is handled in accordance with Section 5 (Data Security) and Section 6 (Data Retention) below.

1.3 Minors: Where a traveler under 18 participates in a tour accompanied by a responsible adult, in accordance with Section 22.1 of our Terms & Conditions, we collect the same categories of information described above on behalf of the minor. This information is provided and consented to by the accompanying responsible adult, who is responsible for the minor's supervision and safety throughout the tour. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a minor without the involvement of their accompanying adult.

1.4 Automatically Collected Information: When you visit our website, we may automatically collect your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, pages visited and time spent on each page, and information via cookies and similar tracking technologies.

We use your information to:

• Process bookings, registrations, deposits, and payments
• Verify eligibility to participate in a tour, including riding experience, age, health, and insurance requirements
• Arrange third-party services on your behalf, including vehicle rentals, accommodation, permits, and local guides
• Communicate with you regarding your tour and provide customer support
• Meet legal and regulatory requirements in the countries where tours operate, including visa, permit, and border documentation
• Respond to medical or safety emergencies during a tour
• Send updates, promotional materials, and marketing communications (see Section 7)
• Use photographs and video footage for marketing purposes, as described in Section 20 of our Terms & Conditions
• Improve our website and services

Legal basis for processing: We process your information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you (booking and delivering the tour), to comply with legal obligations (such as border and permit requirements), because you have given consent (such as for marketing communications), or because we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving our business.

Because AMT operates guided tours across multiple countries, your information is shared with the third parties necessary to deliver your tour, including:

• Local vehicle rental companies, accommodation providers, and guides in the countries visited
• Payment processors
• Government and permit authorities, including visa, immigration, and wildlife permit authorities (such as the Uganda Wildlife Authority), where required for your participation
• Insurance providers, where relevant to a claim or verification
• Service providers that support our business operations, including our CRM, booking, and communication systems (currently ClickUp, Make, ActiveCampaign, and WhatsApp-based messaging), and advertising platforms (currently Meta/Facebook and Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn)

We do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose information to comply with legal obligations, to protect and defend our rights and property, or with your consent.

Given the nature of our tours, your information will necessarily be transferred to, and processed in, countries outside of your home country and outside of Israel — including the destination countries of your tour (which may include South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Senegal, depending on the tour booked) and the countries where our service providers operate or host data. By booking a tour with AMT, you acknowledge and consent to this international transfer of your information, which is necessary to deliver the tour.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. No data transmission over the internet or electronic storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information, including booking, passport, medical, and financial information, for seven (7) years from the date of collection, in accordance with applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements in Israel. Marketing contact information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

If you have opted in to receive marketing communications from AMT, you may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in each communication, or by contacting us directly at info@africamototours.com. Opting out of marketing communications does not affect our ability to send you operational communications related to a tour you have booked.

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies, including Meta Pixel and Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our site, measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and personalize your experience. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or, where available, through a cookie consent tool on our website.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites that are not operated by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites.

AMT's tours may include travelers under the age of 18, provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult in accordance with Section 22.1 of our Terms & Conditions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a minor independently of their accompanying adult. Parents and guardians who believe we have collected information from a minor outside of this context should contact us at info@africamototours.com so we can address it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any dispute arising from this policy is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Israel, consistent with Section 21 of our Terms & Conditions.
